Born and raised in Maine, Marcel has always had a passion for “selling” from an early age, beginning with school book sales door-to-door or worms for fishermen he would harvest with his dad. Marcel joined the U.S. Air Force in 1979 at the age of 18 and served our great country for six years. While in the military, stationed in southern California Marcel met his wife, Debbie, and has just celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. Marcel became very interested in helping people realize the joy of owning their own home and he set his sights on pursuing a professional career as a real estate broker, getting licensed first in California in 1983.
Marcel and Debbie relocated to the East Coast in 1984 to Maine and have been involved in the real estate market ever since. Settling in Kittery, Maine allowed them to enjoy living in the vibrant Seacoast area. After several real estate moves and many real estate purchases, Marcel and Debbie began their family and are the proud parents of two lovely daughters.
This experience has given Marcel a true appreciation of the buying and selling process and the many challenges (“bumps in the road”, Marcel likes to call it) it presents for folks and how to achieve the goal for his clients. One primary focus for Marcel has always been his dedication to his clients, and to always follow the golden rule, “always treat others, the way you’d want to be treated”. Over these 29 years, Marcel has helped approximately 2000 families with their real estate needs, buying, selling, renting, and investing. Owning a variety of real estate, Marcel, remains in tune to the day to day details from many angles.
After six years with Coldwell Banker, Marcel joined RE/MAX in 1989, and has never looked back. “RE/MAX allows me to provide the best for my clients and they continue to set the bar higher for me year after year which keeps me sharp”. After twenty years, Marcel remains very committed to the level of excellence he sets for his clients with RE/MAX and has joined RE/MAX Shoreline with its new office location at 100 Market Street, Suite 200, Portsmouth. While not serving his clients, Marcel enjoys spending time with his family, working on old cars, reading, gardening and time at his camp near Lake Winnipesaukee, NH.
