Jane James was the managing partner/broker of MARPLE & JAMES. Jane has been a multi-million dollar producer throughout her career. Since she began her career in 1970, she has been committed to the service of both buyers and sellers throughout the Seacoast of New Hampshire and Maine.
Because of her longevity in real estate, she is finding one of her greatest rewards is working with the children of her past clients and those of her friends. “The sincerest compliment is to have parents recommend me to their children”, Jane says.
Jane’s practice is mostly concerned with listing and selling real estate. However, during her career she has in also developed and co-developed land and built homes. She also did the first condominium conversion of an apartment building in Portsmouth.
These past experiences bring a multi-faceted knowledge to her clients.
Jane has been and continues to remain actively involved in the community with memberships and accomplishments including: former member of the Board of the Children’s Museum of Portsmouth, member of the Friends of Odiorne State Park, State of New Hampshire Advisory Board to the Great Bay Esturine Research Reserve, and the Board of The Seacoast Land Trust., New Heights Advisory Board.
Jane is currently an active member and past chair of Art-Speak, the city of Portsmouth’s cultural commission.
Personal Outlook: A New Hampshire native, Jane believes that to maintain its quality of life one must be involved in the community. “I have belonged to and fundraised for organizations that substantially contribute to that quality of life. Community is important to me.”
